Jenna had her first baby, but it seemed as if her soul had done this many times before. She labored at home and had Midwives walk through the door only minutes before Avi was born. It surprised everyone! She had labored peacefully in the comfort of her sunshiny home in Humboldt only a short walk away from the ocean. I missed the birth and was especially bummed as this momma had intentional rituals planned that even she didn't have time for! Her immediate postpartum moments were sweet, quiet and curious. Baby was perfect and very content with his first moments earth side. The energy I received from these few hours with this family was a wave I rode for days later.
